I find myself wishing I could follow Carrie around the country on her latest tour and off (hmm, I didn't mean for that to sound stalker-like, I mean to fan parties and other public appearances).

About MURainman
I am an American Idol addict and just happened to start watching it in Season 4, Carrie's year. I am 1kvotes4cu on AmericanIdol.com, because that's about how many times (1,000) I voted for her (nah, I'm sure it was more). I have been thrilled to see her success since the show, and struggle for words to explain what I think of her amazing vocal talent. In fact, there are no words strong enough. "Amazing" doesn't even cut it.
I'm sorry to say I haven't seen her in concert yet, but that is going to change in June when I drive 200 miles for a show in Springfield, Missouri.
My wife is also a huge AI fan, and her favorite has finished third pretty much every year that we have been watching. She likes Carrie fine, but her favorite is Elliot Yamin, and she got to meet him when he played at The Blue Note here in Columbia. So it's only fair that I get to meet Carrie sometime, too, right?
I just bought myself an iPod for Christmas and discovered the world of iTunes, and it has led me to a new favorite Carrie song: How Great Thou Art, performed by her for an album with the same name, live at the Opry. If you haven't found it, find it, buy it, and you can thank me later. Ok, really you just need to thank Carrie.
Before that, my favorite song was I Told You So, with the best performance of it again at the Grand Ole Opry. These two songs showcase her captivating ability to hold a beautiful note for a breathtaking amount of time. She kind of did that at the end of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl this year, too, and I was guessing there were many football fans out there hollering at their TVs for her to hurry up and finish so the game could start. Idiots. :)
My favorite video is still All-American Girl, one of the first I started watching online, and I now have seven of her videos on my iPod. AAG brought tears to my eyes because it's so much fun. Even though the astronaut attempt at the end was so corny it is almost unbearable, by the time you get there you're having too much fun to care. The newscast story is hillarious, as is vengeful Carrie being one of the All-American Girls.
Temporary Home is not GASP! one of my favorite videos or songs, but she hasn't done anything yet that I haven't liked a lot. Well, I'm not buying The Worm Anthem if it comes out on iTunes, but it was cute for the age it targeted. :)
